Quick answers to the most common questions about our marketplace and subsidies.

Quick answers to the most common questions about our marketplace and subsidies.

How much does it cost to use the platform?

Requesting quotes is completely free for builders - no hidden costs.

How much does a smart contract audit cost?

It depends on code size, complexity and the type of review (full audit, AI scan, formal verification). On Areta Market you get competing quotes from vetted firms for free, and builders save ~30% on average compared to sourcing on their own.

How does the marketplace sustain itself?

The open marketplace is sustained via a referral fee charged to service providers.

How long does the audit process take?

The entire process length varies by scope and provider. Using the marketplace, you can expect quotes within the first 48hrs of submitting your request and a kick-off on the audit within a week.

Can I choose my audit provider?

Yes, you're able to select your preferred provider and quote directly through the platform - even if your request is part of one of our subsidy programs.

Can I share an NDA via the platform?

Yes, by selecting a "Multi-Auditor RFP" when creating your request, you'll be able to share an NDA template which gates selected parts of your audit request scope until you've verified the signing. You're still able to select only one winner, should you wish to do so.

How do I collect multiple audit quotes for my request?

Hover over the "+ Submit New Request" button and select "Run a Multi-Auditor RFP". There you'll be able to select as many winning providers as you wish, share and verify NDAs directly through the platform, review audit findings in a standardized dashboard, and more.

Do I need to apply for a subsidy to use the platform?

No. The audit marketplace is open to all ecosystem projects.

Who is eligible to apply for a subsidy?

Projects building within an ecosystem that runs an active subsidy program. Selection criteria varies across ecosystems but typically include protocol relevance, team experience, technical readiness, and ecosystem impact. Currently there are subsidy programs active for Ethereum, Solana, and Uniswap ecosystems.

What is the Ethereum Subsidy Program?

The Ethereum Audit Subsidy Program is a $1M initiative designed to lower barriers for Ethereum Mainnet projects seeking security audits from high-quality, pre-vetted auditors. An Expert Committee with representatives from the Ethereum Foundation, Chainlink Labs, and Nethermind Security partners with Areta to review applications and allocate subsidies. Approved projects can receive up to 30% off security audits from 20+ leading firms.

What is the Solana Subsidy Program?

The Solana Audit Subsidy Program is a $1M initiative designed to lower barriers for Solana projects seeking security audits from high-quality, pre-vetted auditors. Projects apply through the Solana Audit Marketplace, where an expert panel from Superteam, MonkeDAO, Jito, and Areta evaluates applications using a standardized rubric. Approved projects receive a subsidy, browse offers from participating auditors, and redeem their voucher code when selecting an audit. When selecting quotes, participating projects can apply a discount equal to their awarded subsidy amount, capped at 30% of the quote price.
